June!!!

first of all, I’m excited.

why?

because today (June 1) is my birthday!!!!!

it is my 24th birthday, and I am very excited for this year because it is going to be my year because I am:

  • starting graduate school
  • moving into an apartment by myself
  • doing an internship that I know will help immensely with my career goals
  • making progress in my physique all the time
  • becoming the person I want to be

and all of these things are immensely… well, exciting!! (I apologize for not having another word for it, because it’s the only thing I feel - an extremely positive emotion)

to put it lightly…

you guys, I am so super stoked.

I am looking forward to tackling the month of June, and subsequently the rest of the summer, so I can head off to grad school in August as the best self I’ve ever been.

my goals for June:

  • find something active to do every day. I don’t always have to go to the gym - I can run, go take a walk with the dogs or my boyfriend, or do a video online. something! I find I do better mentally and physically when I am constantly doing something.
  • start my 365pictures adventure, which involves taking a picture every day. I want to document what I would consider to be my first grown-up year. if I can ever figure out how to make that pages thing work, there will be one of them.
  • get back to eating properly. that involves making my own food, and being as gluten-free and dairy-free as possible… of course, this won’t happen until next Monday, because I’m celebrating my birthday all weekend long. ;)

I don’t need anymore than that, because June is a short month. and as soon as it’s over, the year will also be half done! isn’t that crazy?? maybe it’s one of the reasons (besides my birthday) that I love June! :)
